Alan ‘Oopie’ Clemons, 45, beloved father, Aug. 20 August 24, 2009 - No reporter cited >

George ‘Oopie’ Alan Clemons, 45, of Nashville, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 in a Texarkana hospital. He was born April 15, 1964 in Nashville.

He was an employee of Husqvarna and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Nashville.

Oopie was an avid hunter, loving to hunt turkey and deer. He also loved fishing. He was a Scrapper Football fan and loved watching football on TV as well as NASCAR racing.

He was a wonderful husband and family man. His pride was his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Alan is survived by his wife, Donna Helton Clemons of Nashville; his parents, George and Henrietta Hale Clemons of Nashville; three daughters, Jessica Rawlinson and fiancé Tracy McMikel of Deport, Texas; Kayla Clemons and fiancé Micah Megginson of Nashville; Heather and husband Nick Davis of Gilliham; two sons, Josh and Colton Cason of Nashville; two sisters, Wanda Rezansoff of Murfreesboro and Tammy Clemons of Nashville; five grandchildren, Sarah Lynn Rawlinson, Gavin Lee Rawlinson, Kloie Lane Megginson, Konner Alan Clemons and River Wade Davis; and a host of other family and friends too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tues., Aug. 25, at First Assembly of God Church in Nashville, with Bros. Terry Goff and Kenny Martin officiating.

Burial will be in Biggs Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
