Amity woman faces felony drug charges in Clark CountyAMITY – After almost two years of surveillance and planning, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department arrested Amity resident Keli Mount, 32, at her residence at 1124 Center Ridge Road.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas State Police and Amity police have been receiving information on Mount and were finally able to get a search warrant for her residence.
Police arrived at the Mount residence on last Tuesday afternoon to find the home empty. Because their warrant was valid whether anyone was home or not, the officers began searching the residence.
Family members called to ask what was happening and subsequently contact was made with Mount, who arrived home and surrendered peacefully to Clark County deputies.
Mount was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to deliver, a Class B felony which carries a sentence of 5-20 years in prison and/or a $15,000 fine. She is being held without bond in lieu of arraignment in the Clark County Detention Center in Arkadelphia.
At the home, officers found items associated with the use and manufacture of methamphetamine, which included glassware. An actual drug lab was not located at the residence.
Mount is suspected in dealing meth in Pike and Clark counties and more charges may be pending.
