MOUNT IDA - Barbara Black was crowned Possum Queen for 2008 Saturday evening on the Front Porch Stage at the Montgomery County Courthouse, accepting the crown from 2007 Possum Queen Winifred Egleston to highlight the annual Possum Picnic conducted by Possums Unlimited.

Black was named the 13th Possum Queen from a field of four candidates with first-year Possum Potentate John Henderson making the announcement.
