Circuit court jury finds man guilty of speeding August 29, 2007 - No reporter cited

MOUNT IDA – A Montgomery County Circuit Court jury deliberated less than 10 minutes before returning with a guilty verdict Monday, August 27, against Lane Derrell Stafford, 26, on a misdemeanor charge of speeding more than 15 mph greater than the posted speed limit.

After announcing the guilty verdict, the jury returned to deliberations and came back a short time later and sentenced Stafford to 13 days in the county jail
and fined him $100.

Stafford was ticketed by an Arkansas State Trooper on July 21, 2007 for driving a vehicle on a state highway in excess of 15 mph greater than the maximum posted speed limit.
