Delight man faces multiple charges after DWI accident September 5, 2007 - No reporter cited

A 49-year-old Delight woman was killed after a two car accident Saturday afternoon.

Pamela Jean Henderson, wife and mother of two children was killed instantly when her vehicle was hit head-on by a pick-up truck driven by Randall Lee Woods, 50, of Delight.

Woods has been charged with driving while intoxicated, careless or prohibited driving, no seatbelt and driving left of center.

According to the report made by Arkansas State Trooper Sammie Hart, Woods was traveling south on Highway 195 near Delight Saturday afternoon.

According to the report, evidence at the scene suggested that Woods lost control of his vehicle, a Toyota Tundra pick-up, veering to the right shoulder, and then crossed back across the double yellow line to hit Henderson’s Mazda Tribute head-on, pushing it into a ditch. After impact Woods’ vehicle also traveled into the ditch.

The impact of the wreck killed Henderson instantly.
