Obituaries

Iva Dean Reid, age 89, of Newhope, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008.

She was born July 24, 1918 in Daisy.

She is survived by four children, Lamar Reid of Shreveport, La., Connie Adams of Newhope, Billy Joe Reid of Houston, Texas, and Trudy Varner of The Woodlands, Texas; a sister, Evalena Nix of Carnegie, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sat., April 19, at Newhope Freewill Baptist Church, with Bros. Raymond Dees and Rodger Harper officiating.

Burial was in Liberty Cemetery, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
