Mr. James E. Greathouse, 77, died November 13, 2008 in Shreveport.

He was born October 27, 1931 in Nashville, AR to Ellis and Cecil Greathouse. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Betty D. Greathouse; two sons, Mark Greathouse and and Scott Greathouse; one daughter, Jamie Diann Simonelli; Bennie Lee McCune, mother of J.E’s children; one step-son, Edward Waddell “Buddy”; one step-daughter, Jennifer O’Quinn; two sisters, Ruby Jean Wright and Helen Sue Norwood; two brothers Morris D. Greathouse and Joe W. Greathouse; seven grandchildren, Marty Goodner, Michelle Anderson, Kelly Rouse, Greg Greathouse, Will O’Quinn, Hailey Waddell, Sarah Deal; and two great-grandhcildren, Payton and Jack Anderson.

Funeral services were held Mon., November 17 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.

Burial was in Forest Park West Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.
