Juanita Echols, 84, beloved grandmother, Nov. 9 November 13, 2008 - No reporter cited

Juanita Beatrice (Kirkpatrick) Echols, 84, of Nashville, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 in a Texarkana hospital.

She was born June 18, 1924 in Knoxville, Ark., to the late Tom and Lela Higgs Kirkpatrick.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville.

Juanita loved social gatherings, visiting with people, and was considered by her family to be a flower connoisseur. She was a member of THEOS. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren, and most of all her great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Echols in 1994; three sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Woody Solomon of Raleigh, N.C., and Connie and Doug Barker of Greenwood; a son and daughter-in-law; Kirk and Connie Echols of Nashville; five grandchildren, Laura Alexander, LeAnn Barker, Katie Allspach, Becki Barker and Emily Echols; two great-grandchildren, Natalie Alexander and Blake Barker; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services were held Wed., Nov. 12, in Restland Memorial Park, with Glen Green and Larry Teague officiating, under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
