MOUNT IDA – The Mount Ida Lions made a successful climb up the class ladder in their 2007 home debut before a packed house at Stidman Field Friday evening, defeating the Class 4A Fountain Lake Cobras 14-7 behind an opportunistic defense, a big-play offense and a solid performance in the kicking game.

With the victory, the Lions improved to 2-0 under Coach Mike White and will face undefeated Mountain Pine this week in a battle of unbeatens.
