Mineral Springs senior high boys and girls win district May 16, 2008 - No reporter cited

MINERAL SPRINGS-The Mineral Springs Hornets and Lady Hornets were crowned 7-2A District Champions Thursday, May 8 at Mineral Springs.

The Hornets accumulated 245 points beating out Murfreesboro by 19 points to earn the district title.

Senior Jerry White was the co-high point earner, sharing the honors with Jonh May of Murfreesboro.

Katie Richardson reaches the end of her career as a Lady Hornet as the co-high point earner, tying with Ally Featherston ofMurfreesboro.

Richardson led the Lady Hornets in a 214 point effort besting the Lady Rattlers by 19.5 points for the District crown.

Mineral Springs will host the 2A State Track Meet Thursday, May 15.
