Murfreesboro man charged with rape in Pike Circuit Court February 8, 2007 - No reporter cited

Todd Edward Sparks, 30, of Murfreesboro, made his first appearance in Pike County Circuit Court Monday.

Sparks has been charged with rape, which is a Class Y felony. His bond has been set at $100,000 and his formal arraignment will be February 12.

In other court business:

Kevin W. Steen, 21, of Murfreesboro, was charged with terroristic threatening in the first degree. He was given a $5,000 bond. Steen was released into his parent’s custody unless employed he must be with his parents at all times.

Dustin B. Hembey, 28, of Delight, entered a not guilty plea to charges of fleeing, filing false report, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and driving with a suspended driver’s license. His trial has been set for June 12.

Samuel Brown, 37, of Nashville, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of aggravated assault. His trial will be held April 24.

Elizabeth Lujan, 35, of Glenwood, was charged with violation of the Arkansas hot check law. She was given a trial date of June 12.
