Nashville Police Department investigates stabbing October 6, 2008 - No reporter cited

NASHVILLE – A Thursday evening stabbing sent a Nashville man to the hospital.

Lt. Clint Tedford responded to 1012 Hutchinson St. shortly after 7 p.m. that night.

Denny Miller, 26, received a stab wound to his chest.

He told officers that “Milton [Swift] had been at his house and stabbed him in the chest,” said NPD Investigator Larry Marion.

Miller was transported and treated at Howard Memorial Hospital.

Milton Swift, 47, of Nashville, is charged with second degree battery and is being held on a $20,000 bond.

Swift will be arraigned in Howard County Circuit Court on Wednesday.
