NASHVILLE – The city park will have a new concession and restroom building, soccer and softball fields with lights in the near future.

Park Commissioners voted unanimously to authorize Park Director Dolly Henley to finalize those projects.

In November, the park hired Pleasant Valley Landforming to construct two regulation-sized soccer fields. The soccer fields will sit on 3.25 acres.

Last year, the park secured a grant from the Arkansas Parks and Tourism Outdoor Grants to purchase 44.5 acres of land from Dr. Phillip and Donna White of Murfreesboro for $191,973.

In an effort to slow speedy drivers, Park Commissioners voted unanimously to purchase four reflective rubber speed bumps at $144.95 each.
