Tryouts for the Nashville Dragons semi-professional football team will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Nashville High School practice field.
Tryouts begin at 6 p.m. Those interested must pay $15 in order to try out for the team, workout clothing, cleats, and a good attitude.

Co-ed Softball
League
The Lockesburg IMCS Park Committee is finalizing plans for a fall softball co-ed league.
The league will begin on Sept. 8 and games will be played on each Thursday in September.
Each game begins at 6:30 p.m. The league will have an 18-member maximum closed roster.
League fees are $150 per team. T-shirts will be awarded for first and second place teams.

NHS cheer clinic
The Nashville Sr. High Cheerleaders will hold their annual Scrapper cheerleading clinic on Monday, Sept. 12; Tuesday, Sept. 13; and Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Scapper Dome.
All participants will have the chance to perform at the high school game against Arakdelphia on Friday, Sept. 16. The cheerleading clinic is for girls from kindergarten to 6th grade.
Registration for the clinic is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 5 from 4-6 p.m. at the Scrapper Dome. The cost is $35 and includes a T-shirt for participants to wear during their performance on Sept. 16. This will allow the girls to enter the Arkadelphia game for free.
Practice schedule for the cheerleading clinic includes: kindergarten and 1st graders - 5:30-6 p.m.; 2nd and 3rd graders - 6-6:30 p.m.; and 4th, 5th and 6th graders from 6:30-7 p.m.
The day of the performance, all participants should arrive at the Scrapper Dome at 6 p.m. to prepare for the game. They should be wearing their clinic T-shirt with shorts or blue jeans.

Nashville youth soccer registration will be held now through Sept. 2 at the Nashville City Park. Registration fees are $30 per camper. For more information, please call 845-7405.
