Readers win contest
Three Nashville News readers took top honors in the Pigskin Prognosications contest. James Arnold of Dierks was the top picker with a 13 of 15 performance.
Kenny Jackson of Nashville and Tony Moore of New Hope broke the tiebreaker with 12 of 15 picks each.
The readers will win “Sports Winner” baseball caps for their efforts.

Youth hoops registration
Basketball registration is now underway for the 2005 third and fourth grade girls and boys youth season.
Registrations are due by Oct. 31 and fees are $25.
The draft for girls players will be held on Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the Whiteside Gym. The draft for boys players will be held on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Whiteside.

Playoff T-shirts available
The Scrapper Booster Club is currently selling playoff T-shirts.  The shirst feature a unique design which reads: “Scrapper football on The Hill, 2005 Playoffs; It’s a different level!”
The club will be taking orders Friday night at the DeQueen football game. 
Orders will be taken through Tuesday, Nov. 1.  Shirts will be ready for pick-up on Thursday, Nov. 10, 3:30-6:30 at the Scrapper Dome.
Those who have any questions or would like place and order, should contact Gaye Graham, Suzanna Brewer, Becky Floyd at Nashville Elementary School.
