Samuel Lee Summers III and Shawanda Renay Draper were united in marriage on June 8 in Mashpee, Mass.
Shawanda is the daughter of Troy and Rita Hendrix, and Carolyn and Charles Ogden, of Mineral Springs.

She is the granddaughter of James and Verdia Draper of Mineral Springs, James Hendrix of Little Rock, and Doris McFall of St. Paul, Minn.
Shawanda is a 1999 graduate of Mineral Springs High School and attended Henderson State University. She is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, Inc. and is an American Red Cross volunteer.

She is a staff sergeant stationed with the United States Air Force base in Ramstein, Germany.

Samuel is the son of Samuel Kennedy and Julia Ann Summers of Bamberg, SC., and the grandson of Alice Childs of Bamberg, SC.

He is a 2001 graduate of Bamberg Ehrhardt High School and is a student at Parks University.

He is also a staff sergeant stationed with the United States Air Force at Ramstein Air Base in Cape Cod, Mass.
