Two accidents take the lives of two Montgomery County residentsDanielle Cummings - Editor
A one vehicle accident claimed the life a 24-year old Mount Ida man, Thursday, April 24. According to reports from the Arkansas State Police, Clayton Clenney was traveling on Highway 270 West in a 1998 Chevrolet truck, shortly before 1:00 a.m. near Crystal Springs when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck flipped and came to rest on its top and Clenney, was ejected.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hot Springs Funeral Home and services are pending.
Elaine Berta Ballard, 92, of Story, was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 270 East near Mount Ida at 8:30 p.m., Saturday, April 26. According to Arkansas State Police records, Ballard was standing in the road at the time and the driver of a Chevy Astro van, Roy Ford of Bossier City, Louisiana, did not see her in time to stop.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida and services are pending.
