Two charged in Glenwood burglariesGLENWOOD – City officers responded to two seperate burglaries early on Tuesday, May 6, which were alledgedly carried out by the same two perpetrators.
Officer Jeremy Collums was dispatched to a burglary at the Ya’ll Come Back Salon on Hwy. 70 West. The owner reported that several items had been taken with a retail value of over $550.
At the same time, a burglary was reported at a residence at 305 Dwain St. Items taken included money, a credit card and a Yorkshire Terrier dog.
An investigation by Collums and Chief of Police Randy Reid led the officers to believe that the two burglaries were connected and were committed by the same person or persons.
Evidence and subsequent interviews led to the arrest of DeeAnn Cubbage, 35, of Norman and Brandon Simpson, no age listed, of Hot Springs. Both subjects were charged with residential burglary, commercial burglary, theft of property and four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
The investigation into the case is ongoing and Reid indicated that additional charges may be added.
