Two Lady Hornets qualified for the 2A state track meet with their performances at the Collin Raye in De Queen.

Candance Woodruff and Katie Richardson will compete in the shot put and long jump events during state May 15 at Mineral Springs.

Woodruff threw the shot a distance of 34-3 while Richardson jumped 16-2 in the long jump.

Mineral Springs currently has five qualifiers for state.

Mineral’s 4X100 meter relay, along with Chalisha Smith in the 300 meter hurdles, Woodruff in the shot and discus and Richardson in the long jump.

Mineral Springs will host the Bell Relays Tuesday, April 22.
