Obituaries

Velma Jean Butler Graves, 74, of Tom, Okla., died Saturday, April 26, 2008. She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Tom.

She is survived by two sons, Clifford Butler of Idabel, Okla., and Herbert Hendrix of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Wanda Harris of Idabel; two step-daughters, Peggy Henderson of Houston, Texas, and Hazel Morris of Tollette; a brother, Luther Harrell; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., May 3, at Community Baptist Church, Tom.

Burial will be in Della Simpson Cemetery, Tom, under the direction of Nunley’s Funeral Home, Idabel.
